Medconn Diagnostics Makes a Strong Start at Medlab 2025 in Dubai

Medconn at Medlab 2025

From February 3 to 6, 2025, the 24th Medlab Middle East was held at the Dubai World Trade Centre. As one of the largest medical laboratory exhibitions and conferences in the Middle East, the event attracted more than 20,000 attendees and over 900 exhibitors from more than 40 countries.

Under the theme “Empowering Today’s Medical Laboratories for a Global Future,” the event focused on key areas including laboratory management, sustainability, clinical chemistry, and quality management. New dedicated topics, including laboratory automation, women’s health, vaccines and emergency preparedness, and precision medicine, were also introduced to explore the latest developments and innovations across the industry.

Hematology Solutions Take Center Stage

Once again, Medconn's international team traveled to Dubai to participate in the highly anticipated Medlab Middle East. The Medconn booth was bustling throughout the exhibition, welcoming more than 100 visitors each day. Industry experts, exhibitors, and healthcare professionals stopped by to learn more about Medconn's latest hematology analyzers, LIS, and AI-powered diagnostic systems.

At the exhibition, Medconn showcased two models from its 5-part differential hematology analyzer portfolio: the MH-60 and MH-120.

MH-60

The MH-60 is part of Medconn's new generation of hematology analyzers, combining fluorescence flow cytometry and electrical impedance technologies to deliver more precise blood cell analysis and meet the testing needs of different healthcare settings.

With a throughput of up to 60 tests per hour, the MH-60 is designed specifically for small- and medium-sized laboratories and primary healthcare facilities.

Key features include a malaria screening function to assist in identifying potential malaria infections and supporting more accurate clinical diagnosis. The analyzer also supports IG testing, helping facilitate the early screening of inflammation, infection, and hematological disorders. In addition, its independent BASO channel further enhances testing accuracy.

MH-120

The MH-120 is a high-throughput hematology analyzer designed for laboratories with greater testing demands, offering a throughput of up to 110 tests per hour.

Compared with the MH-60, the MH-120 provides a broader testing menu. In addition to routine hematology parameters, it supports RET, NRBC, CRP, and SAA, providing laboratories with a more comprehensive solution for hematology testing and clinical assessment.

Intelligent Connectivity for Smarter Laboratories

As a key information management tool for modern laboratories, Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) enhance the automation of data processing and help optimize quality control workflows, enabling more efficient and standardized laboratory operations.

While AI is increasingly used in hospitals for applications such as diagnostic assistance and multidisciplinary team (MDT) consultations, LIS offers a complementary pathway for bringing AI-powered capabilities into laboratory testing and management.

Among the solutions showcased at the exhibition, the Medconn MH-120 attracted considerable attention for its outstanding performance and intelligent connectivity capabilities.

The analyzer can be seamlessly integrated with the MQ-8000 HbA1c Analyzer, creating an efficient automated laboratory workflow that integrates hematology testing with HbA1c analysis. This innovative configuration not only improves laboratory testing efficiency but also helps streamline data management and clinical workflows.

Through intelligent automation and integrated diagnostics, Medconn is committed to providing laboratories worldwide with more accurate, efficient, and connected diagnostic solutions.
