  • Glycated Albumin (GA)

    Methodology: Enzymatic method

    Clinical Significance

It can reflect the average blood glucose level in human body in the past 2-3 weeks, which can be used to observe the short-term and medium-term changes of blood glucose, confirm the treatment effect more quickly, and adjust the dosage timely.

Glycosylated albumin is not affected by the life span of red blood cells, and GA can more accurately reflect blood glucose in special populations such as anemia, dialysis, liver disease, and acute systemic diseases.

    Diagnose fulminant diabetes.

It is used for physical examination to help differentiate stress hyperglycemia.

  • Homocysteine (Hcy)

    Methodology: Circulating enzyme method

    Clinical Significance

Cardiovascular disease: High Hcy is an independent risk factor for atherosclerosis. Studies have shown that mild and moderate elevated Hcy levels can increase the risk of death from cardiovascular disease by 4-6 times.

Neurological disease:Elevated Hcy is an important risk factor associated with stroke.

Diabetes: type plasma Hcy levels can be used as Ⅱ diabetes independent risk factors of vascular disease.Increased Hcy is more severe in patients with diabetic nephropathy, retinal and vascular complications.

Pulmonary thromboembolism:High Hcy can increase the incidence of deep venous thrombosis by four times.

Prenatal and postnatal care and maternal and child health:Women with high blood Hcy are prone to pregnancy complications.

Complications of chronic renal failure:Hcy hyperemia is common in patients with chronic renal failure, and the incidence is 33 times that of normal people.

  • Cystine Protease Inhibitor C (CYS-C)

    Methodology: Latex enhanced immune turbidimetry

    Clinical Significance

Renal function assessment of renal disease: endogenous biomarkers superior to Scr.

Application in kidney transplantation: it can quickly reflect the situation of kidney damage and renal function recovery.

Application in cardiovascular disease:CYS-C can more easily reflect plasma Hcy levels.A significant increase in CYS-C levels in elderly patients with cardiovascular disease often indicates a poor prognosis.

Application in patients with cirrhosis:an indicator of normal or impaired renal function in patients with cirrhosis.

Pregnancy correlation:COMPARED with serum urate and Scr, CYS-C has better diagnostic accuracy for preeclampsia.

  • Apolipoprotein E(APOE)

    Methodology: Immunoturbidimetry

    Clinical Significance

Relationship between ApoE and Alzheimer's Disease: ApoE is a major risk factor for late-onset Alzheimer's disease (AD) after age 65.

The relationship between ApoE and blood lipids and hyperlipidemia: ApoE's main function is to bind to THE LDL receptor on liver cells to enable hepatocytes to gobble up lipoproteins and metabolize internal cholesterol, thus regulating the fat content in blood. And heart vascular disease, stroke has a close relationship.
